Samvad Sutra, Kapurthala. There was a collision between a car and a scooter near Mirzapur village of Dhilwan police station. In the accident, the couple riding the scooter fell and got badly injured. Passersby took both of them to SGL Charitable Hospital for treatment.

Here the duty doctor declared the husband dead, while the wife's treatment is ongoing. The deceased have been identified as 74-year-old Sucha Singh, son of Mangat Ram and his wife, 70-year-old Gurmeet Kaur, residents of village Mirzapur.

ASI Paramjeet Singh of Dhilwan police station, who is investigating the cause of the accident, said that information was received that there was a collision between a car and a scooter near village Mirzapur.

He said that the police is recording the statements of the family members. The body of the deceased has been taken into custody and kept in Kapurthala Civil Hospital for post-mortem. The body will be handed over to the heirs on Monday.
