Central government gave Z security to BJP President Nitin Naveen (Photo-X)
PTI, New Delhi. The Central Government has provided high level armed VIP security to the newly elected BJP President Nitin Naveen. Officials said on Tuesday that the CRPF will provide Z-category security to Naveen.
Officials said that a few weeks ago the Home Ministry had instructed CRPF to handle the security of Nitin Naveen. He said that armed CRPF commandos will accompany Nitin Naveen during his tours across the country.
His selection has come at a time when the party is working on a strategy to further expand its organizational base in view of the upcoming assembly elections in five states.
The categories of VIP security cover under the Central Security List range from highest Z-Plus (ASL) to Z-Plus, Z, Y, Y-Plus and X categories.
CRPF provides security to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Gandhi family and many other leaders and dignitaries. At present CRPF is handling the security of about 200 VIPs.
