Jagran correspondent, Panchkula. Lakhs of devotees will visit Shrimata Mansa Devi during the Chaitra Navratri fair to be held from March 19 to March 27. Deputy Commissioner and Chief Administrator of Mata Mansa Devi Place of Worship Board, Satpal Sharma reviewed the preparations.
In the meeting, DC instructed the officers of various departments to complete all the necessary arrangements in a time bound manner. Giving strict instructions regarding cleanliness in the temple premises, the Deputy Commissioner said that all the trees in and around the temple should be painted attractively, so that the devotees coming from far and wide can see the beautiful and grand appearance of the temple.
He directed that for cleaning arrangements in the temple and surrounding areas, a chart should be made and different areas should be allotted to the cleaning workers. The name and mobile number of the concerned cleaning worker should be displayed on the women's and men's toilets.
On receiving the complaint, strict action will be taken against the concerned supervisor. It has been made mandatory for all sanitation workers to wear uniform while on duty. Instructions were also given to deploy a separate employee in the shoe factory. The Deputy Commissioner directed to deploy adequate police force to ensure law and order and smooth traffic during the fair. Adequate number of checkpoints will be set up in the temple premises and surrounding areas and 24-hour surveillance will be ensured. Systematic queuing system will be implemented for smooth darshan of the devotees.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Haryana Urban Development Authority to get necessary repairs done on the internal and external roads. He also gave instructions to remove encroachments from unallocated booths, whitewash them and paint the railings on the roads. PMDA was instructed to ensure regular cleaning of drains near the temple premises and Public Works Department to ensure repair of roads.
Instructions for deployment of adequate number of doctors and paramedical staff
To provide better medical facilities to the devotees during the fair, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Satpal Sharma directed the Health Department to deploy adequate number of doctors and paramedical staff.
He said that arrangements for fully equipped ambulances should be made to deal with emergency situations. He directed that a dispensary and dispensary should be established in the temple premises by the AYUSH Department and the National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula.
One fire crash tender along with staff should be deployed in each temple.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the North Haryana Electricity Distribution Corporation to ensure 24-hour uninterrupted power supply in Shri Mata Mansa Devi Temple Complex, Kali Mata Temple Kalka and Shri Chandi Mata Temple. He said that one fire crash tender along with staff will be deployed in each temple to deal with any untoward incident. The Public Health Engineering Department was instructed to provide pure drinking water and ensure regular cleaning of water storage tanks.
There will be a complete ban on the sale of plastic carry bags and plastic items.
He said that in order to provide clean Bhandara, Prasad and food items during the fair, regular testing and sample collection of food items will be done by the District Food Safety Officer. The Pollution Control Board will ensure complete ban on manufacturing, sale, storage and use of plastic carry bags and plastic items during the Panchkula fair.
Shri Satpal Sharma directed to arrange adequate buses from Chandigarh/Panchkula Railway Station, Bus Stand Panchkula, Zirakpur, Singhpura and surrounding areas to Mata Mansa Devi Temple, Kalka Temple and Chandi Mata Temple for the convenience of the devotees.
The Deputy Commissioner gave instructions to Panchkula Municipal Corporation for repair of roads, fogging, pesticide spraying, cleaning, arrangement of mobile toilets and pruning of bushes in the temple premises and surrounding areas.
He said that adequate number of temporary sheds should also be arranged in the temple premises for the devotees to stay. During the meeting, suggestions were also taken from the non-official members of Mata Mansa Devi Puja Sthal Board regarding successful and grand organization of the fair.
