Samvad Sutra, Nanauta (Saharanpur). Vansh Rana had died in a road accident a year and a quarter ago. An amount of Rs 20 lakh was given to Vansh's father, a resident of village Tilfra in Nanauta area, by SBI officials under personal accident insurance. The officials appealed to the people to get insurance.

On October 22, 2024, 21-year-old Vansh Rana, resident of village Tilfra in Nanauta area, died in a road accident while returning from Dehradun. Vansh was the only son of his father. After this his mother became ill and she also died.

There was a life insurance policy with SBI in the name of Vansh, but the family was not aware of it. The bank employees came to know about this accident during the KYC process.

Surendra Singh contacted, but it was difficult to get the claim due to complexity of documents, lack of knowledge of the process and financial weakness. The family was in serious financial trouble.

Commendable role of bank officials

Nanauta based branch manager Gaurav Kumar collected the necessary documents and coordinated with the insurance company. The process was expedited under the instructions of Regional Manager Rajeev Ranjan and Chief Manager Sachin Dev. In such a situation, the insurance amount was deposited in the account of Surendra Singh before the stipulated time. Surendra Singh thanked the bank officials for their cooperation.

Branch manager Gaurav Kumar told that Vansh Rana had a personal accident policy. Under which he gave only one thousand rupees per year. In this he had an accidental insurance of Rs 20 lakh. In case of his death in the accident, his father is being given a check of Rs 20 lakh.

Had sold land and house for son to go abroad

Surendra Singh told that Vansh wanted to go abroad after completing 12th. He raised money by selling his four bighas of land and house. After Vansh's death his mother fell ill. All his money was spent on treatment.

The wife also left him. He became homeless. He has two brothers, with whom he does not share his views. Now he lives in the village itself in the house of his uncle's son Vijay. Vijay lives in the city.
