Thugs are sending messages through WhatsApp, Telegram and internet media. In these messages a link or APK file is asked to download. It is claimed in the message that new salary, pension and arrears can be calculated instantly through this app. As soon as the user downloads the file and installs the app out of greed, his mobile data and access comes under the control of cyber criminals.
apk file dangerous malware
According to the investigating agencies, this APK file is actually a dangerous malware, which once installed in the mobile, gains access to banking apps, messages, OTP and personal information. After this the fraudsters transfer money from the bank accounts. In many cases, victims do not even become aware of the fraud until the money disappears from the account.
The Center has clarified that the government never sends any APK file to provide information related to salary, pension or pay commission through WhatsApp or any unknown link. All official information related to Pay Commission or salary is released only on the government website. In such a situation, downloading an app from any unverified source can be extremely risky.
