Samvad Sutra, Jagran Dehradun. In Raiwala, a fraud of about Rs 38 lakh was done by making a land deal on the basis of fake documents. The victim had complained to the police in the month of June this year. Last Wednesday, after about six months in the case, the police arrested the accused from Dehradun. Raiwala in-charge Inspector Rajendra Singh Kholia said that on June 12 this year, Pratap Singh, son of Late. Amar Singh, resident of Pratinnagar Raiwala, Dinesh Singh Padiyar, son of late. Shiv Singh Padiyar resident of Bank Colony Ajabpurkalan Mothrowala gave a complaint letter against Police Station Nehru Colony Dehradun.
In which he had accused Dinesh Singh of fraudulently selling the land allotted to Tehri displaced people in Raiwala and embezzling Rs 38.25 lakh by not registering the land. After which the police registered a case under relevant sections and started investigation.
After continuous efforts of the police team, the accused in the case, Dinesh Singh Padiyar, resident of Bauradi Sector 5-B police station New Tehri, was arrested near ISBT Dehradun.
According to the inspector in-charge, the accused committed fraud by showing fake contract letters, Aadhaar cards and fake signatures of the original owners of the land and by showing fake persons in place of the original owners of the land.
