Chief Minister said in Prayagraj Magh Mela – All bathing festivals will be completed with purity. Awakening

After reviewing the preparations for the major bathing festivals of Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya and Vasanti in the Magh Mela, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in Prayagraj on Friday that all the major baths will be completed safely with purity, communication and coordination.

Addressing the journalists, the Chief Minister, who reached Prayagraj on Saturday, said that the facilities and safety of the devotees are being ensured with the vigilance of the administration, use of technology and mutual cooperation of all the departments. He said, he is happy that he got the privilege of seeing and taking bath in the holy Triveni in the month of Magh.

Chief Minister stayed in Magh Mela area and city for more than 6 hours

- 7 crore devotees are expected to come on Makar, Mauni and Vasant.

He reminded that last year also he had come to inspect the preparations for Mahakumbh on January 10, 2025. At that time preparations were going on war footing. It is noteworthy that this year Magh Mela has started from January 3, which will continue till February 15. In such a situation, Chief Minister Yogi is continuously monitoring to ensure the safe conduct of all festivals.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this year 10 to 15 lakh devotees were expected to come to Magh Mela on Paush Purnima, but more than 31 lakh devotees took a holy dip in the holy Sangam. The devotees took a safe bath and took blessings in the presence of Lord Veni Madhav, Late Bade Hanumanji Maharaj and Akshayvat. Kalpavasi is engrossed in meditation for one month of Kalpavas.

The Chief Minister said that he got the opportunity to participate in the program of 726th holy birth anniversary of Lord Ramanandacharya. He said, Prayagraj is the holy land of many sages, where he has been in the company of many accomplished saints including Maharishi Bhardwaj and Yajnavalkya. Daraganj is famous as the birthplace of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya.

- Gave information about the efforts being made regarding ghat expansion, cleanliness and protection from cold wave.

- With the use of technology, facilities have been strengthened and fair service app has become a medium for quick assistance.

The Chief Minister said that Makar Sankranti will be held on 14-15 January, Mauni Amavasya on 18 January, Vasant Panchami on 23 January, then Maghi Purnima on 1 February and Mahashivratri bath will be held on 15 February. All departments have made extensive preparations for the entire event. He said that this year the length of the ghats has been increased for Magh Mela. Also, special attention has been paid to cleanliness.

Measures have been taken to prevent severe cold wave. Public address system has been implemented for crowd management in the fair area. Mela Seva App has been launched, so that saints, Kalpavasis and devotees can get necessary services and solutions quickly.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that just as the bathing of Paush Purnima was completed safely with communication and cooperation, similarly all the next five bathing festivals will also be completed safely with complete purity, communication and coordination. The administration is working in this direction with full diligence and with everyone's cooperation the Magh Mela will be successful.
