Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. The CBI court held the then Chief Parcel Supervisor Rajneesh Chahar alias Rajneesh Kumar Singh, posted at Agra Fort Railway Station, guilty of taking bribe and sentenced him to four years imprisonment. CBI Special Court Judge Anjani Kumar has also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the accused.
CBI had registered this case on January 1, 2016. Rajneesh was posted as Chief Parcel Supervisor at Chahar Railway Station, Agra. Misusing his position, he was demanding a bribe of six thousand rupees every month from Mohammad Akram of Agra for doing loading-unloading work at Awadh Express, Agra Fort Railway Station.
Akram had complained about this to CBI. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused Rajneesh red-handed while demanding and taking bribe. During chemical examination of the accused's hand and paint pocket, the color of the solution had changed. This confirmed taking bribe. The numbers on the cash recovered as evidence matched.
CBI had filed the charge sheet in the court on 26 February 2016. On Monday, the CBI court, on the basis of witnesses and evidence, found the supervisor guilty and sentenced him to four years' imprisonment.
