Among the people coming for treatment, about 80 to 100 patients of bronchitis asthma, bronchitis allergy and asthmatic bronchitis are reaching Babu Ishwar Sharan Hospital affiliated to the medical college, whereas this number is more in private hospitals.
Dr. Ramesh Pandey, Assistant Professor and Chest Physician of the Medical College, says that bronchitis is an inflammation and short-term infection of the respiratory tubes located inside the lungs. The main reason for brochitis is repeated infections in the respiratory tract and its branches located in the chest, among which pneumonia is the main cause.
Apart from this, another reason is TB infection. If the infection is treated properly in the initial days, then bronchitis can be avoided, whereas in some people this disease is congenital. Apart from this, sometimes deficiency of enzyme called alpha-1, antitrypsin present in the blood, rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases also cause bronchitis.
