Uproar in Sonbhadra over 'Ghooskhor Pandit' web series, demand for FIR.
Jagran correspondent, Sonbhadra. Protests have intensified in the district regarding the controversial web series Ghooskhor Pandit. On Sunday, story teller Awadhesh Kumar Mishra alias Manish Das Maharaj along with his supporters reached Kotwali Robertsganj and submitted a complaint demanding registration of a case against the film's director Neeraj Pandey, actor Manoj Bajpayee and other associates associated with the film.
Manish Das Maharaj told that he is originally a resident of Jaunpur district and at present he has come to Tejnagar, Urmaura, Robertsganj to recite Shrimad Bhagwat story. He said that he is extremely hurt after watching the movie Ghooskhor Pandit on OTT channel and Netflix. It is alleged that an attempt has been made in the film to disturb social harmony by insulting a particular caste and hurting the sentiments of Sanatan Dharma.
He said that the seeds of caste conflict are being sown by poisoning the society through web series. Warned that if a film like 'Ghushkhor Pandit' is being made today, then in the future, films will start being made with objectionable names like Dalal Kshatriya, Traitor Yadav, Corrupt Baniya, which will cause serious damage to social harmony.
Said that strict legal action should be taken against such acts. During this, Pawan Kumar Mishra, Rajiv Singh Gautam, Vinod Kumar Shukla, Anand Ojha, Naveen Kumar Pandey, Ashish Kumar Pandey, Acharya Alok Tiwari, Abhishek Pathak, Vinay Shukla, Mahesh Shukla, Arun Tiwari, Shyam Dwivedi etc. were included.
