Jagran correspondent, Varanasi. Congress state president Ajay Rai and senior leader Nana Patole worshiped Baba Vishwanath from Maidagin on Wednesday. On this occasion he said that we have been stopped from going to Manikarnika Ghat, which is a serious issue. He also said that Swami Avimukteshwarananda is our guru and we stand with him. Congress will protest against the injustice being done to them.
Ajay Rai said that injustice is being done to Swami Avimukteshwarananda. If it was not so, then why was he given a place in Kumbh? He made it clear that Congress will agitate for him. Nana Patole, who had come to Varanasi from Maharashtra, was trying to go to Manikarnika Ghat, but due to the strictness of the police, he could not go there. He visited Kashi Vishwanath temple and said that stopping him from going there proves that there is something wrong there.
Patole also said that the things being said by the government regarding AI are false. He assured that Congress will agitate further and will stand with Swami Avimukteshwarananda. Congress leaders also said that with respect and reverence for Swami Avimukteshwarananda, we will make every possible effort to protect his rights. He said that this is not only a religious matter, but it is also a question of protecting the values and principles of our society.
Congress leaders made it clear that they stand with Swami Avimukteshwaranand and are ready to do any kind of agitation for him. He said that this is the time when we should unite and fight for their rights. Reiterating its commitment towards Swami Avimukteshwarananda, Congress has resolved to raise its voice against the injustice being done to him. This movement will be an important step not only for Swami Avimukteshwarananda, but for all the religious leaders of the society.
This step of Congress makes it clear that they are ready to play an active role in religious matters also. Thus, this effort of Congress in Varanasi may be moving in a new direction, which will try to establish a balance between religion and politics in the society.
