Container Overturned Due To Collision With Truck On EPE, Glass Worth Rs 40 Lakh Broken; Farmers Pulled Out The Driver Trapped In The Cabin

Jagran correspondent, Baghpat. A container overturned after being hit by a truck due to light fog near village Lahchauda on EPE (Eastern Peripheral Expressway). One of its drivers got trapped in the cabin. The farmers took the driver out and got him treated by a private doctor. Glass worth about Rs 40 lakh filled in the container was damaged. The accused driver fled with the truck.

Shravan Yadav, son of Gangaram Yadav, a native of Bihar, currently lives in Kasna Gautam Buddha Nagar. On Sunday morning, he was going to Bhiwani district (Haryana) from Dadri in Gautam Buddha Nagar, filling a container with glass used in solar energy plates. There was light fog at that time.

On reaching village Lahchauda on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, another truck coming from behind at high speed hit the container. Due to this the container overturned. When the vehicle fell on Box Road, it fell into a field about 10 feet deep. Driver Shravan Yadav got trapped in the cabin. This created chaos.

Farmers working in the fields nearby started running. With the help of passers-by, he took the driver Shravan Yadav out of the cabin. He was found in injured condition. He was treated by his personal doctor. After the condition improved, the driver informed that there was a loss of about Rs 40 lakh due to damage to the glass filled in the container.

Meanwhile, the accused driver fled with the truck. The victim driver called the owner of the truck and informed him about the accident, but did not inform the police.

On the other hand, Chandinagar police station in-charge Atar Singh says that no one has made any complaint regarding this accident. If a complaint is received, action will be taken after investigation.
