At the same time, after receiving continuous public complaints, he along with the municipal officials conducted on-site inspection of Chandi Phatak and Gandhi Bazaar area. The situation was worsened by the heaps of garbage and foul smell accumulated on the roadside near Chandi Gate, which was causing problems to the pedestrians and shopkeepers.

The cleaning system of the park and toilets located in Gandhi Bazaar was also not found satisfactory. Councilor Anshul Mittal expressed his displeasure on this and told the officials that the main roads and markets of the city should not become heaps of filth. He warned that negligence will not be tolerated.

During the inspection, Executive Officer Inderpal Singh and Sanitation Inspector Deepak Kumar instructed the concerned employees to get the cleaning done immediately, collect garbage regularly and ensure daily cleaning of toilets.

Executive Officer Inderpal Singh said that responsibility will be fixed for improving the cleanliness system and strict action will be taken against negligence. The inspection has given people hope for quick improvement.
