Jagran correspondent, Gurugram. One and a half years ago, a woman lawyer and her husband were arrested on a production warrant for conspiring and filing a false POCSO case. Both these accused were caught in another false POCSO case in Sector 65 two months ago.
The accused were identified as woman advocate Geetika Chawla and her husband Harsh Kumar, resident of Sector 72. Police spokesperson said that in May last year, a woman had filed a case against her husband accusing her of wrongdoing her daughter.
When this matter was investigated the facts were found to be wrong. Due to this the case was canceled in April this year. That case was re-opened on 11 December 2025 on the orders of the court. On December 24, an FIR was registered in conspiracy and other cases. In this case, this couple had a hand in filing a false case.
Both of them were in jail. They were arrested on production warrant after interrogation. The case in which he was lodged in jail is of Sector 65 police station area. In this, the lawyer woman had met a balloon seller and filed a false POCSO case against the person through his son. The accused woman and her husband had also extorted Rs 44 lakh from the victim. Gurugram Police had arrested both the accused in this case and sent them to jail.
