Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur. Maqsood Ansari, who was in jail for threatening to blow up Lord Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya with a bomb, has returned to Bhagalpur after being released on bail. He has reached his home in Masjid Gali, Badi Khanjarpur of Barari police station area. Now he will have to appear regularly in the hearing of the case going on in Ayodhya court.

It is known that in a video that went viral on June 14, 2024, Maqsood had threatened to blow up the Ram temple by claiming himself to be associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed. After this, case number 133/24 was registered in Ayodhya police station. The special team from Ayodhya had arrested him from Burari on the night of 13 September 2024.

Investigation had revealed that Maqsood was in contact with Aamir associated with Jaish and he also used to share anti-national posts. Besides, evidence was also found of cyber fraud and raising money in the name of the organization. UP STF also cooperated in his arrest. Now after being released on bail, security agencies are keeping an eye on his activities. Maqsood Ansari had also threatened to kill UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Maqsood was coming from his sister's in-laws house, after tracing the mobile number he was caught by the police near Gurhatta Chowk, Bhagalpur. There is talk of his being associated with the terrorist organization 'Jaish-e-Mohammed'. The police had also recovered four mobile phones from him. He was arrested after evidence was found that he had threatened to blow up the Ram temple. He was caught in the joint action of UP Police and local police. The police also interrogated strictly.
