It has been told that a 23-year-old Scheduled Caste girl living in a village of Saraiinayat police station area has studied till eighth standard. His father has passed away. Brother takes care of him. The girl is a user of Instagram. It is alleged that about three years ago, he received a request from an ID created in the name Abhishek on Instagram.
When the girl accepted him, they started chatting. Meanwhile, both of them gave each other their mobile numbers and gradually the conversation started. The girl kept talking to her Instagram friend, mistaking her for Abhishek. It is also alleged that Abhishek alias Sarfaraz, resident of Chainpur Tendui village of Saraiyanayat police station area, came on a bike on Tuesday night and asked the girl to accompany him.
When the girl refused, he kidnapped her at knifepoint and then took her to a hotel. Raped her there. During this time, when the hotel employee saw the identity cards of both of them, they turned out to be of different religions, then he informed the police.
After some time the police reached there and caught the young man and the girl and brought them to the police station. When the truth came out during the interrogation, the girl was also left speechless. He did not know that Abhishek's real name is Sarfaraz Ansari. Currently, on Wednesday evening, the girl's brother lodged a complaint with the police, alleging kidnapping and rape at knifepoint.
Police station incharge Sarainayat Sanjay Gupta says that the accused had made friends by changing his name on Instagram. A case has been registered and he has been taken into custody and is being interrogated. The accused drives a poultry farm vehicle.
