Haryana Urban Development Authority (HSVP) has taken a big step to increase the availability of real estate in Gurugram. HSVP plans to purchase about 17,000 acres of land in 51 sectors of the city. HSVP will purchase this land in a phased manner through e-land portal and land pooling policy.
In this regard, instructions have been given to the officers by the Chief Administrator that the complete details of the land should be uploaded on the e-Bhoomi portal, so that the process remains transparent. HSVP plans to purchase a total of 1.67 lakh acres of land across Haryana, of which 17,000 acres includes Gurugram alone. The data of this land will be uploaded on the portal in a phased manner and interested land owners will be able to contact the authority directly.
Urban expansion will be organized
The main objective of this initiative of the government is to streamline urban expansion and provide plots and houses to the people at affordable rates. Gurugram is already a major real estate hub and this new scheme will further enhance the infrastructure, connectivity and investment opportunities here.
Experts believe that this step will benefit both the middle class and investors. The development of new colonies will not only increase the availability of housing but will also create employment opportunities. Besides, roads, electricity, water and other basic facilities will also be improved.
Land will be purchased in a phased manner
In the first phase, about 17,300 acres of land will be purchased in many major sectors of Gurugram like 26, 36A, 37D, 59, 60, 61, 63, 67, 70, 76 to 113. For this, applications will be invited on the e-Bhoomi portal from March 1 to April 30. In the second phase, about 5,035 acres of land will be purchased in Sohna, Pataudi and Gwal Pahari areas. For this the portal will be open from May 1 to June 30.
In the third phase, 1,203 acres of land will be purchased in Sectors 1, 3, 4 and 5 of Farrukhnagar, for which applications can be made from July 1 to August 31. Apart from this, HSVP is also planning to buy 20,500 acres of land in Faridabad. In the first phase, 4500 acres of land will be acquired in Faridabad city. According to officials, the objective of this scheme is to stop illegal colonies and to provide better and systematic real estate to the people.
One Rakesh Saini, estate officer of HSVP, said that interested land owners can give information about selling their land on the e-bhoomi portal, after which the land will be purchased through negotiations. This scheme will prove to be helpful in giving new impetus to the real estate sector in the state as well as providing better housing and business facilities to the people.
