Traffic Restrictions Will Remain In Effect For Five Hours In Varanasi City, Know Where The Police Will Be Strict.

Jagran correspondent, Varanasi. Governor Anandiben Patel will be in Varanasi today. In view of his visit, the traffic police has issued an advisory to ease the movement of people in the city and surrounding areas. The traffic restriction will remain in force from 6 am to 11 am or till the presence of the Governor in the concerned area.

According to the advisory issued by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Anshuman Mishra, the movement of goods vehicles on Samenghat bridge will be completely banned from 6 am to 11 am on Thursday. During the same period, all types of vehicular traffic from PAC Tiraha to Ramnagar intersection and from Tengra Mod to Ramnagar intersection will remain closed. Vehicles will be diverted from Panchvati Tiraha, Lanka Maidan and other alternative routes. Diversion will remain during the movement of the Governor. At the time of Governor's arrival/departure, the city will be at Bhojubir Tiraha, Daitraveer Tiraha, JP Mehta Tiraha, Golghar Kachari, Police Line Square, Ambedkar Square, Pandeypur, Himanshu Mod, Tadikhana, BHU Square, Bhagwanpur. Traffic will be stopped on the routes related to Mod, Trauma Centre, Samenghat Bridge, Shastri Chowk (Ramnagar) and Ramnagar intersection or will be diverted through alternative routes. Apart from this, Ardali Bazaar, LT College Road, Central Jail Road, Deendayal Hospital Road, Panchvati Tiraha and other scheduled routes will be diverted.

Traffic police appeal: Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic Anshuman Mishra has appealed to the general public to follow the prescribed diversion and use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience. Doing this will help the police in maintaining security.
