Crackdown will be tightened on those selling banned Manja in Haryana.
Jagran correspondent, Fatehabad. Taking seriously the accidents occurring during kite flying in the district, the police administration has adopted a strict stance against the banned Manjha. If banned Manja is sold, stored or used, direct action will be taken against him.
Recently, the incident of death of an innocent girl after falling from the roof while flying a kite in village Bhodiya Kheda is extremely sad. Such incidents show that careless and dangerous use of Manja has become a serious threat to the society. Banned Manja is not only risky for children and youth but also proves fatal for two-wheeler drivers, pedestrians and animals.
In many cases, incidents of deep injuries on the neck and face have been reported. If any shopkeeper or person is found selling or storing banned Manja for financial gain, strict legal action will be taken against him.
Instructions have been given to all the police stations and outpost in-charges of the district to ensure regular patrolling, inspection of markets and inspection of shops in their respective areas. Wherever banned Manja is found, a case should be registered immediately and legal action should be taken.
Police will also make parents aware
Police will also make parents aware. Parents should make their children aware about safe kite flying and should not allow the use of such kites which could put someone's life in danger. Also, the general public has been requested to immediately inform the nearest police station or dial 112 if they get information about the sale or use of banned Manjha anywhere.
Effective control of this problem is possible only through both public awareness and strictness. The administration has made it clear that strict action will be taken as per law against those violating the rules, so that any kind of tragic incident can be avoided in future.
