Cracks appeared in the overbridge at the railway station.

An approximately six meter wide and approximately 60 meter long foot overbridge was built between platform number one at the railway station to the GRP and RPF post in the year 2022-23 at a cost of approximately Rs 3 crore. This FOB was constructed keeping in mind the rush of passengers at that time, so that it could be convenient to change the platform. There are a total of five platforms at the station. In which one foot overbridge has been built near the station master office and the other between the GRP police station and the RPF post.
Cracks have started appearing in the footover bridge built between the GRP police station and the RPF post. Whereas within just a few years of construction, cracks have started appearing at many places in the foot overbridge.
These cracks in the edges of stairs, walls and flooring of the overbridge have increased the concern about safety among the passengers. During platform change every day, most of the passengers pass through the foot overbridge built between GRP and RPF post, in such a situation, people have expressed their displeasure due to structural deficiencies.
Passengers Dilip Singh, Rajnarayan, Jitendra, Dayashankar, Vimlesh Kumar say that cracks in this structure built at a cost of crores raise questions on the quality of construction.
Passengers say that all trains coming from Lucknow, including Vande Bharat Express, arrive on platform number two-three. During which most of the passengers come and go through this cracked footoverbridge.
Due to lack of prior maintenance at the station, cracks in the foot overbridge can cause a major accident to the passengers at any time.
Passenger Vipin Singh said that he will also correspond with the Railway Minister to get the matter investigated by a team of high officials. Assistant Divisional Engineer (AEN) IK Singh said that investigation will be conducted by the technical team. After that further process will be done.
