Crowd of devotees gathered to offer prayers on the occasion of Mahashivratri festival.
Sons, Jagran, Pandaveshwar: On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, a huge crowd of devotees gathered in Pandaveshwar and nearby Shiva temples since morning for water offering. Devotees were seen lining up and performing Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva and chants of Har Har Mahadev kept echoing in the entire area. Harinam Sankirtan and devotional hymns were organized in many Shiva temples. Harinam Sankirtan started in the premises of Durga temple located in Dalurbandh, where a large number of devotees were present. On this occasion, a grand Shiva procession was also taken out, which reached Neelkanth Dharamshala with musical instruments. The wedding procession was given a grand welcome by the members of Dharamshala. A Shiv procession was also taken out from Khutadih Colliery Shiv Temple, in which youth and devotees participated enthusiastically. The atmosphere of the entire area remained devotional regarding Mahashivratri. Rudrabhishek was also organized in various temples, in which devotees worshiped with rituals and prayed for happiness, peace and prosperity.
