Two medical store owners arrested for selling banned medicines.

Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. The Crime Branch team has arrested two medical store owners on charges of supplying banned medicines being sold illegally. 3,360 Tramadol capsules and 84 bottles of Codeine cough syrup have been recovered from the accused.
The arrested accused have been identified as Vinay Malhotra and Chandan Bansal. The accused, after stocking banned category drugs in their warehouse, were supplying them in the western and outer districts. The police are investigating the case by interrogating the arrested accused.
According to Crime Branch Deputy Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, the team was continuously receiving information that some medical store owners of West Delhi were involved in illegal business besides storing banned medicines. On this basis, the team along with the drug controller raided Shivam Enclave, Paschim Vihar and arrested medical store owner Vinay Malhotra.
During the search, 3,360 tramadol capsules and 84 bottles of codeine cough syrup were recovered from its store. The accused had illegally kept these medicines in his medical store. The accused could not pay the bills for these medicines. After investigation, Vinay Malhotra was arrested. The accused was interrogated.
Vinay Malhotra told that he had taken the medicines from Chandan Bansal, a drug dealer from Raghubir Nagar. Later, notice was given to the accused for questioning. When the accused came to join the investigation, he was arrested after interrogation. The accused was supplying banned medicines illegally in Delhi. The police is interrogating them and investigating the matter.
