Digital Desk, New Delhi. Jailed former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was examined by a team of doctors on Sunday after he developed eye problems. However, his party rejected this investigation.

On the directions of the Supreme Court, a lawyer of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) met Khan on Thursday to get first-hand information about his health conditions.

Complaint of losing 85 percent vision

According to the report, Khan had complained of losing about 85 percent vision in his right eye. The court had ordered authorities to conduct a detailed medical examination of 73-year-old former cricketer-turned-politician Khan before February 16.

Sources said a team of doctors met Khan and conducted a detailed examination of his eyes. He said the medical examination lasted for an hour and the team left after collecting blood samples.

The operation was done last month

Last month, Khan was taken to PIMS in Islamabad and his eye was operated on. During the meeting with the lawyer, he complained of weak eyesight. After this, his family and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had raised the demand for his treatment in a private hospital. (With inputs from news agency PTI)
