Jagran correspondent, West Delhi. Amidst the tall claims of Delhi Government making the entire capital pothole free, Dabri-Gurgaon Road has remained completely untouched by the road improvement campaign and claims of PWD's activism. The situation is that deep potholes have formed at many places on this busy road, due to which the journey here is no less than a nightmare. Dabri-Gurgaon Road is the main route connecting the most important business and residential centers of Delhi. It directly connects densely populated areas like Dabri, Palam, Sagarpur and Dwarka to Gurugram (Haryana) and IGI Airport. Apart from this, thousands of commuters heading towards Janakpuri, Uttam Nagar and Delhi Cantt use this route daily. Neglect of this route is not only causing traffic jams but is also tarnishing the image of the capital. Residents have warned that if proper repair of the road is not done soon, they will be forced to protest. Surprisingly, only money supply is being done in the name of repairing the road. Instead of technically filling the potholes with asphalt, they have been filled with brick and stone debris and garbage. When high-speed vehicles pass over these potholes, this debris gets scattered on the road and a cloud of dust fills the air. This has not only increased the risk of asthma and eye diseases, but also two-wheeler drivers are becoming victims of accidents due to slipping.

In place of asphalt, debris has been put in the potholes of the road. When vehicles pass, the dust becomes difficult to breathe.

Accidents are happening every day due to potholes. The government's campaign probably died by the time it reached this road, we are very upset.
