Including all three ponds, its area will be 156 acres. It is being materialized with an amount of Rs 75.28 crore. Preparations have been started for construction of elevated road from Darbhanga Railway Station to Amas Darbhanga Expressway via Bhaya Donar Chowk, Karpuri Chowk to Ekmi via Laheriasarai.
Patna-Purnia Expressway will also pass through Darbhanga. Shobhan-Ekmi bypass, the AIIMS road under construction, is being converted into a four-lane. DMCH will now have 1700 beds. Sakri-Benipur-Bahedi via Donar will be made four lane.
Darbhanga station is being made world class. To get rid of the jam, the construction work of six ROBs is going on at a fast pace. Bihar's second planetarium is already established.
