Who is Jagran correspondent (Sonbhadra). As soon as the body of 30-year-old Surendra Bhuiya, resident of Tola Longra of Gram Panchayat Piparkhad of the local police station area, reached the village on Monday, there was chaos among the family members. The family members have made serious allegations regarding the death of a young man who had gone to work as a laborer in Gujarat under suspicious circumstances. Seeing the dead body, the wife and other family members became inconsolable crying.
Relative expressed fear of murder, demanded investigation
After Chhath Puja, Surendra Bhuiya had gone to Chhayapuri in Gujarat with contractor Rohit Gupta, resident of Pathhariya village of Meral police station area of Garhwa district of Jharkhand state, to earn his livelihood. There he used to do rebar-shuttering work in a private company. Meanwhile, on December 18, he died under suspicious circumstances.
The deceased's wife and family allege that on December 17, three youths from the same village, Chhotu, Ramu and Vishnu, had beaten Surendra over some dispute. Surendra himself had given this information to his wife over phone on the morning of 18 December. When asked, he said that he would tell the whole story when he returned home, but the same day the news of his death came.

Family members say that Surendra died after being beaten. When the body reached the village in the ambulance on Monday, the family members and villagers became angry and stopped the ambulance. During this time, after talking to the contractor, some financial assistance was given for the last rites and the ambulance was released after about three hours. Jitendra Bhuiya, brother of the deceased, clearly alleged that his brother's death was not normal and he was beaten up by the said three due to which his brother died. The deceased also has two small children.
