Valmiki Tiger Reserve news: A tiger was found dead on Wednesday morning on the banks of Dohram river in Manpur forest area under Mangurahan forest area of Valmiki Tiger Reserve (VTR). There has been a stir in the forest department after this incident.
The age of the dead tiger is said to be around two and a half to three years. Initially it is feared that this matter may be related to mutual conflict between wild animals. However, the actual cause of death has not been clearly revealed yet.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the forest workers reached the spot and informed the senior officials about the dead body of the tiger. As a precautionary measure, the body has been covered and protected and the entry of common people around the incident site has been banned.
As soon as the information was received, Forest Department officials left for Manpur. Forester Himanshu Kumar said that at present concrete information has not been received regarding the reasons for the death of the tiger.
He informed that a team of specialist doctors from Patna including DFO has left for investigation. The actual cause of death will be known only after senior officials reach the spot and post-mortem is conducted. At present the Forest Department is seriously investigating the entire matter.
