Light to moderate fog was seen in some parts of Delhi on Wednesday morning, while dense fog was seen in some other parts. Visibility at IGI Airport was reduced to 100 meters at 6:30 am. Visibility improved as the day progressed. The sky remained clear during the day and there was bright sunshine. This led to an increase in the maximum temperature.
On Wednesday, Delhi's maximum temperature was recorded at 22.7 degrees Celsius, which was 2.0 degrees Celsius above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 10.2 degrees Celsius, which was 2.7 degrees Celsius above normal. The humidity level in the air remained between 100 and 49 percent. Palam was the coldest area of Delhi. The maximum temperature recorded there was 20.1 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 8.1 degrees Celsius.
The weather department estimates that now the wind direction will be northern or north-western. This wind will bring cold from snow covered areas. As a result, there is a distinct possibility of a drop in minimum temperatures. The maximum temperature in Delhi on Thursday is likely to be 22 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be six degrees Celsius. The sky will be clear and sunny during the day.
