CM Dhami Flags Off Child Marriage Mukti Rath, Awareness Campaign Will Run From Village To Village

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagging off the Child Marriage Mukti Rath run by Samarpan Society for Health Research and Development in Dehradun for the prevention of child marriage.

Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday flagged off the Bal Vivah Mukti Rath, run by Samarpan Society for Health Research and Development for the prevention of child marriage in Dehradun, at the Chief Minister's residence.

The Chief Minister said that this Rath will act as a public awareness campaign, the objective of which is to reach out to remote, rural and high-risk areas and deliver a timely, intensive and effective message against social evils like child marriage to the people.

This campaign will be conducted from 24 January 2026 to 08 March 2026, under which activities like street plays, dialogue sessions, oath programs, counseling camps, IEC material distribution and public dialogue will be organized in various villages, urban settlements, schools, panchayats, Anganwadi centers and community places.

On this occasion, President of Uttarakhand Child Rights Protection Dr. Geeta Khanna, President of Samarpan Society, Mr. Vipin Panwar and others were present.
