Dense Fog Wreaks Havoc On Mokama Four Lane, Three Injured In Horrific Collision Between Three Heavy Vehicles

Three injured in horrific collision between three heavy vehicles

Samvad Sutra, Mokama (Patna). Dense fog wreaked havoc on Bakhtiyarpur-Mokama four lane on Saturday morning. Due to extremely low visibility, a massive collision occurred between three heavy vehicles, in which three people were seriously injured. The accident was so severe that after the collision, a container and two parts of the Hiva were blown apart. After the accident, there was chaos on the four lanes and traffic was disrupted for some time.

According to the information received, the two vehicles involved in the accident were loaded with NTPC dust, while the third vehicle was a big container filled with cattle.

It is being told that this container belongs to Nagaland and the cattle loaded in it were being taken to Nagaland for smuggling. Due to dense fog, the drivers could not see the road ahead clearly, which led to this horrific accident.

Container driver Sinku Kumar was seriously injured in this accident. Seeing his condition critical after first aid, he has been referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for better treatment.

The driver of a car, Mohammad Mehraab, and deputy driver Mohammad Afsar were also injured in this accident. Both the injured have been admitted to the local hospital for treatment, where their condition is currently said to be stable.

After the accident, there was a long traffic jam due to scattering of cattle on the road and damage to vehicles. On receiving the information, police of Mokama police station reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. The police gradually restored the traffic by removing the damaged vehicles.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident. In the preliminary investigation, dense fog and high speed are considered to be the main reasons for the accident.

The police is also investigating whether the container full of cattle was linked to smuggling or not. Necessary legal action is being taken in this regard.

Here, in view of the continuously increasing fog, the police has appealed to the drivers to be especially cautious in the morning, drive slowly and maintain a safe distance on the four lanes.
