Jagran correspondent, Siddharthnagar. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that Lord Tathagat Buddha is the most worshiped God in the world. From this holy land of Kapilvastu, he gave the message of peace and non-violence to the whole world. Buddha was relevant in his time, is still relevant today and will continue to guide humanity in the coming eras also.

He said that when the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi tells the world stage that India has given Buddha to the world, it is a proof of India's cultural and spiritual strength. That is why today the whole world is looking towards India with respect.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that black salt rice, known as Buddha Rice, has been an offering to Lord Buddha as per popular belief. It is a matter of pride for Siddharthnagar that under the ODOP scheme, work is being done towards its packaging, branding and marketing at the global level. He congratulated the public representatives and the administration for this initiative.

Referring to the achievements of the double engine government, he said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the country and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the state, the government is moving forward at a fast pace with the goal of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Respect. In the coming 21 years, when 100 years of independence will be completed, then developed India, developed Uttar Pradesh and developed Siddharthnagar will be visible in real form. He said that farmers will be prosperous, women will be empowered and youth will have employment.

Referring to the sacred relics of Lord Buddha recovered from Piprahwa, the Deputy Chief Minister said that he got the opportunity to display them on the international platform on the instructions of the Prime Minister himself, which increased the pride of the entire state. He assured that the government will make every possible effort to establish Piprahwa on the global Buddhist tourism map, so that the inflow of tourists from India and abroad increases here too.

In the end, he praised the grand event of Siddharthnagar Mahotsav and said that this event is taking the cultural identity of the district to new heights. He expressed confidence that in the coming years, Siddharthnagar will become a new example of development and will establish its own identity in the country and the world.
