After the scam of Rs 40 crore by taking payment of Prime Minister crop insurance tax on the land of forest department, rivers, mountains, roundabouts, bunds and drains in Mahoba of Bundelkhand, now the officers in Hamirpur are also surrounded by allegations of corruption. Here, Deputy Commissioner District Industries Center Ravi Verma has been accused of extorting money from those applying for the Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme in the name of giving loans from the bank.
When the allegations were confirmed in the investigation conducted by the DM, he was removed from the post of Deputy Commissioner and sent to the post of Assistant Commissioner Industries. In his place, Rath's SDM Judicial Abhishek Kumar has been given the responsibility. The applicants had complained to District Magistrate Ghanshyam Meena about extortion from the people who had applied in the name of giving loan from the bank under the Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme in the Industries Department.
The District Magistrate formed a two-member inquiry committee comprising ADM Finance and Revenue Vijayshankar Tiwari and CDO Arun Kumar Singh and got the matter investigated. The investigation revealed that the outsourcing workers were extorting money from the applicants in the name of providing loans. The CDO said that on the basis of the report of the inquiry committee, the District Magistrate has withdrawn the charge from Deputy Commissioner District Industries Center Ravi Verma and handed over the charge to SDM Judicial Rath Abhishek Kumar.
The allegations have been found true in the investigation. Investigation is still going on against the outsourcing personnel. Action can be taken against them also. Recently, some videos of the employees posted there dancing while on duty inside the Industry Center office had also become popular in the internet media, in which clarification was sought from everyone. Action will be taken after receiving the reply.
