The district administration has started strict action against Firoz Ansari, posted as a driver in Jharia area, in connection with an attempt to illegally occupy government land. He has been suspended after his involvement came to light in the preliminary investigation. This action has been taken in the light of the order issued by Circle Officer Jharia. The Circle Officer of Govindpur has also confirmed in the report regarding the occupation of government land by the driver.
According to administrative documents, an attempt was made to illegally occupy about 1.37 acres of government land (non-inhabited land) located in Mauza Kurmidih of Govindpur zone. It is alleged that four Darbaris (temporary constructions) were erected on this land by Firoz Ansari. After getting information about the matter, anger spread among the villagers and the villagers united and demolished these illegal constructions.
Regarding this entire matter, the villagers of Kurmidih had filed an application in the Janata Darbar of Deputy Commissioner Aditya Ranjan and lodged a complaint. In the complaint, serious allegations were made against Firoz Ansari and his associates like encroaching on government land, intimidation, demanding extortion and assaulting people who opposed the case. Considering the seriousness of the matter, an FIR was registered at Barwadda police station.
Firoz Ansari has been named accused in the FIR. The police took action and arrested him and sent him to Dhanbad jail in judicial custody. Along with this, investigation was also started at the administrative level.
Taking action under the Jharkhand Government Servants (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 2016, the administration has suspended driver Firoz Ansari, posted in the zonal office, Jharia, with immediate effect. Departmental proceedings have also been initiated against him and he has been directed to present his side within 15 days.
At the same time, for action against him, the Operating Officer and Jharia CO have been made the Presenting Officer. These two officers will conduct departmental proceedings against Firoz Ansari and give the final report in 105 days.
