Jagran correspondent, Dhanbad. Two Children Missing from Ranchi: Now Dhanbad Police is also searching for the two children who went missing from Dhurva police station area of Ranchi on January 2. Based on secret information, a team of Dhanbad Police conducted a raid in Kathgola area of Kenduadih police station area, however no concrete success could be achieved during this period. Despite this, based on some important inputs received by the police, the search operation has been intensified in other areas of the city also. The missing children have been identified as Ansh Kumar Rai and Anshika Kumari. Both the children are missing for the last 11 days. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the children's father Sunil Kumar Rai has continuously appealed to the Ranchi Police. According to the information, on January 2, 2026, both the children suddenly went missing from Mallar Kocha, Jagannathpur temple of Dhurva police station area. After the incident, the family members had issued a poster to search for the children and appealed to the people for help. In the poster, a reward of Rs 51,000 was announced for anyone giving information about the children, which was later increased. Despite this, till now no clue has been found about the children, due to which the worries of the family are continuously increasing. The permanent address of the children is said to be village Haldi, Chhapra Badal Tola under Maner police station of Patna district of Bihar. Keeping this fact in mind, the police is expanding the scope of investigation and contacts are also being made at the interstate level. In this sequence, on Tuesday night, a special team of Dhanbad Police under the leadership of City SP Hrithik Srivastava conducted a search operation at several suspicious places in Kendua Kathgola area. Although no concrete clue was found there, the police say that some important information has been obtained, on the basis of which further action is being taken. Police claim that every possible effort is being made to search for the children and some positive results are expected soon.
