Jagran correspondent, Noida. Despite preparations and claims, only one of the two Automatic Testing Stations (ATS) has been started in Gautam Buddha Nagar district. Whereas the government has given clear instructions from January 1, 2026 that the fitness check of commercial vehicles will now be done only through ATS and the manual system will be completely abolished.
In such a situation, the problems of more than 1.25 lakh commercial vehicle drivers of the district are sure to increase, because of the two proposed ATS centers in Noida, one has become operational while the other is still stuck in the paperwork.
