Everyone is troubled by the severe cold and thaw. Sun God was not seen throughout the day on Saturday. People were seen warming bonfires at various places.
On Friday, the maximum temperature was 17 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 10 degrees Celsius. The temperature remained the same on Saturday also, but frost continued to rain throughout the day.

Frost started raining after twelve o'clock at night. The condition of people was bad due to light fog and frost in the morning. People remained hiding in their homes. By eight in the morning the roads looked deserted. Some people were seen on the streets after nine in the morning. While walking on the roads, the front part was getting completely wet.
The people who came out on the streets were fully equipped with woolen clothes. Bike riders were also wearing helmets. Children were feeling relieved as there was a holiday in schools. The district administration has made arrangements for people to stay in night shelters. Also, bonfires are being lit everywhere.
Spray this for potato crop to protect it from frost
Dr. Vinay Kumar Singh, senior scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, says that there is a possibility of frost in the potato crop. In such a situation, farmers remained alert. To control the pest, the insecticide Thiacloprid 21.7 percent SC or Fripronil 5 percent SC should be sprayed heavily in 0.5 ml per liter of water.
In fields where there has been an outbreak of blight, in such a situation, for prevention, first spray the chemical containing the enteric fungicide Metallexical dissolved in two grams per liter of water or the chemical containing the fungicide Cymoxonil dissolved in three kg per liter of water and do the second spraying after eight to ten days.
At present there is frost. There is a possibility of huge loss to the potato crop due to this. Frost blight disease will affect. In such a situation, farmers should irrigate the potato crop from time to time. Its effect will be greater especially in late crops. -Sandeep Gupta, District Horticulture Officer
