Samvadsutra, Semri Bazaar, (Sultanpur). DCM driver died in a road accident on Purvanchal Expressway late Monday evening. Six people were injured in this incident. The luxury bus carrying 40 passengers from Lucknow towards Saraimir in Azamgarh stopped near Mahmudpur Semri at milestone 140.7 km of Purvanchal Expressway and the passengers started alighting.
Meanwhile, the DCM going from Barabanki to Patna in Bihar went out of control and overturned, trampling the passengers standing on the road. In the accident, Mohammad Nasir, son of Anees, resident of Badli Prophetpur, Haidergarh, Barabanki, who was traveling in DCM, died on the spot. Whereas, Imtiaz Ahmed son of Ishtiaq Ahmed, Israel, who was traveling in DCM and Rashida Sajida, Lokmanya, a woman from Phulpur, Azamgarh, who was traveling in the bus, were injured. Police and UPEDA personnel reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital.
