Attempt To Rape A Woman Who Had Gone To Defecate In Muzaffarpur, FIR Registered After 1 Week

Dialogue Associate, Ujiarpur. A case of attempt to rape a woman has come to light in Raipur village of Ujiarpur police station area. A week after the incident, on the application of the victim, the police registered an FIR and started investigation.

The victim Moni Kumari has told in the application given to the police that she is living in her maternal home in Raipur village. On January 29, at around 3 pm, she had gone to her banana plantation to defecate.

Meanwhile, Kanhaiya Mahato, son of Rampreet Mahato of the same village, came from behind and caught hold of him and started pulling him towards the bush by pressing his mouth. When the victim raised an alarm, her husband reached the spot and caught the accused youth and brought him home.

After this, Kanhaiya's father Rampreet Mahato along with Chhotu Kumar, Vijay Mahato, Modi Kumar and Diwan Kumar unanimously reached the victim's house and started beating her husband with kicks and punches.

The victim told that she is pregnant and during the rescue, she got injured in her stomach, due to which she is in constant pain. She is worried about miscarriage.

It is alleged that all the accused threatened that if they complained, the husband and wife would be gang-raped and murdered. The victim's mother Shanti Devi was not at home at the time of the incident.

After getting information about the entire incident on his return, he informed the police on dial 112. The police reached the spot and tried to explain, but the accused kept abusing. After this the police advised to apply in the police station.

The victim reached the police station with her mother and lodged a written complaint. Describing the accused as scoundrels, the woman expressed fear of the incident happening again. Police have registered an FIR in the matter and started investigation.
