The police team of Murshidabad district of West Bengal reached Madhupur on Saturday in search of the accused in the case of cheating a divorced woman of Rs 1 crore on the pretext of marriage. It is said that the police of Raghunathganj police station under Farakka sub-division of Murshidabad district went to Meenabazar Mohalla with the police of Madhupur police station.
Regarding the incident, it was told that a divorced elite woman is the owner of the market complex located in Umarpur city. The accused used to run a computer shop in the same complex. While running the shop, the accused youth met the owner of the market complex.
Demand for money to expand business
As the conversation continued, the intimacy between the two increased. Meanwhile, when the woman talked about marriage, the young man told her to expand his business. In return the young man demanded money. Said- After the business expands, we will get married and settle down. The woman fell into his trap.
After this, from January last year, the young man gradually started transferring money from the woman's account to his own account. After withdrawing one crore rupees from the woman's account, the young man closed his business there and ran away. The woman started searching for the young man after all the money went missing.

When her clue was not found, she realized that she had become a victim of fraud. When the woman investigated, she came to know that the young man was already married and was a resident of Madhupur. After this, a case was registered against the victim at Raghunathganj police station.
After registering an FIR, the police started investigating the case. During investigation, the matter of transfer of money came to light to the police. On this basis, the Bengal police team has reached Madhupur in search of the accused. At present the police is refraining from saying anything in this matter. The police is trying to arrest the accused youth.
