Patients were lured into being cured of their illnesses through prayer.
Samvad Sutra, Gumla. A surprising incident came to light in Gumla's Sadar Hospital on Thursday afternoon. Two women entered the patient ward and inspired the sick patients and their families to attend the 'Changai Sabha'.
He claimed that prayer could provide complete relief from illness. This created a stir in the ward. Many patients and their relatives strongly opposed this.
Some family members said it was against the rules of the hospital. Seeing the increasing protest, the hospital management was immediately informed. Both the women have been interrogated.
As soon as the information was received, the hospital staff and officials reached the spot. Both the women were explained and immediately taken out of the ward.
The hospital management clearly said that no religious or promotional activity of any kind is allowed in the hospital premises. Especially during treatment, such actions spoil the health of the patients.
What did CS Gumla say?
Gumla Civil Surgeon Dr. Shambhu Chaudhary said, no one has been given the right to do any kind of religious activity in the hospital.
After getting information about this matter, both the women were sent back after explaining. If such behavior is caught again in future, strict action will be taken.
New preparations of hospital administration
After the incident, the administration has increased surveillance in all the wards. Strict action is being taken on the movement of outsiders, so that such incidents do not happen in future.
This incident once again reminds us that a hospital is a place of treatment, not of any religious propagation. The health and peace of patients should be given priority.
