Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. A young man was shot dead by miscreants late Friday night in Pragati Nagar locality of Subhash Nagar. The young man was sleeping with his wife in the verandah of the house when suddenly when they heard a noise on the terrace, both of them started going upstairs and the miscreants opened fire.
The miscreants climbed on the roof and shot at him late at night.
According to the police, 40-year-old Jogendra was originally a resident of village Tigra Khanpur of Amla. He was sleeping with his wife Anita in the verandah of the house on Friday night. Late in the night at around 1 o'clock there was some noise on the roof of the house and Jogendra started going towards the roof from living with his wife. As soon as they reached the top, one of the two miscreants already present opened fire on them. The bullet hit Jogendra in the chest, due to which he died on the spot.
The miscreants ran away when the wife raised an alarm.
When the wife raised an alarm, the miscreants ran away. As soon as the information was received, Subhash Nagar police station reached the spot. An FIR has been registered on the basis of Anita's complaint. Police say that teams have been formed to search for the accused and the incident will be exposed soon. The police are scanning the surrounding CCTV footage and the suspects are being interrogated.
