Jagran correspondent, Kanpur. On Friday night, a speeding mixer dumper hit two friends riding a scooty on the barrage road behind VSSD College in Kohana police station area. Due to the collision, both of them fell on the road and while trying to run away, both of them were crushed, due to which they died on the spot.

After the accident, the accused driver fled along with the dumper. At the time of the incident, another friend of both of them was coming behind on another scooter.

As soon as the relatives got information about the death of both of them in the accident, they reached LLR Hospital in a dejected state. Both the friends had kept fast and had gone out after Iftar saying that they would read Taraweeh but went to Barrage for a walk. Late at night the relatives remained adamant on the demand of not conducting the post-mortem.

Ahmed, 16 year old son of textile businessman Mohd. Iqbal, resident of Premnagar in Chamanganj police station area, was studying in Hafiza. The family consists of mother Rahimim, younger brother and two sisters Anaija and Swalaha.

On Friday evening, Arsh, the 14-year-old only son of leather businessman Farhat Hajhar, living in the Ahmed neighborhood, and Armaan of the locality were sent by their relatives to study Taraweeh at Haleem Muslim College after Roza Iftar, but instead of going there, they went to Ganga Barrage.

Ahmed and Arsh were on one scooty while Armaan was on the other scooty. While returning from the barrage, as soon as he reached near Seth Motilal Khedia School behind VSSD College, the mixer dumper coming from behind hit Arsh's scooter from behind due to which both of them fell on the road and while trying to escape, the driver crushed both of them due to which they died on the spot.

Armaan along with his relatives informed the police about the incident. When the police informed his relatives about the accident, Farhat Izhar along with his wife Atika reached LLR Hospital crying.

Due to the accident, there was a traffic jam at the spot which was cleared by the police. Till late night the relatives remained adamant on the demand of not conducting post-mortem of the two teenagers. ADCP Archana Singh said that the driver accused of the accident is being searched and action will be taken on the basis of the complaint filed by the relatives.

After receiving information about the accident, both the relatives and friends reached LLR Hospital. The relatives of both told the police that everything was looted from them and now they do not have to take any action. Hand us over the dead bodies of our children. Farhat Izhar told that Arsh was a class 7 student from Billabong, Civil Lines.
