Drinking water crisis due to broken taps at railway station.

Jagran correspondent, Nautanwa. Passengers are facing serious problem of drinking water at the railway station. The drinking water taps installed on platform number one of the station have been broken for a long time, due to which the passengers are facing a lot of trouble. Passengers traveling from the station every day have to wander here and there for water.

Local passengers Gopal, Manohar, Radheshyam and Pramila said that the taps on the platform were bad for a long time, but they had not been repaired till now. The elderly, women and children are facing the most problems.

Passengers said that despite being aware of this problem, the concerned authorities are not taking any concrete steps yet. It appears that the responsible officers are remaining mute spectators and the basic facilities at the station are being ignored.

The affected passengers have demanded from the senior officials of the Railway Department that proper arrangement of drinking water on platform number one should be ensured soon.

Also, alternative water arrangements should be made by immediately replacing the broken taps, so that the passengers can get relief. Station Superintendent Jafray Alam said that the problem will be resolved soon.
