The Central Forest Productivity Institute has prepared such plants according to the soil of the state which can be planted on the ridges, barren or less fertile lands of the fields.

These will be ready in less time than normal plants and will be used as timber. In these, Sal, Shisham and Mahua trees have been prepared in the first phase.

Scientists have prepared them according to the soil and climate of Jharkhand. Pandey said that a plant will be ready in ten to fifteen years. Farmers will be able to increase their income by selling it.

Mango, blackberry and guava plants are already planted

Forest Productivity Institute had developed a new variety of mango, jamun and guava plants two years ago. These have been given to farmers to plant around their fields. The growth of the plants planted in Palamu and Lohardaga districts has been good for the last two years.

However, these plants will be ready to bear fruit after four years. After the success of fruit trees, now farmers' income will be increased from timber trees.
