At the same time, all secondary schools have been closed from 10 am to 3 pm. On the other hand, due to dense fog the speed of vehicles has slowed down. People traveling by bus and train are facing problems.
There was dense fog from morning to afternoon on Tuesday. The Meteorological Department had already issued its alert. Traffic was affected due to dense fog. Vehicles were seen crawling. Normal life was also affected due to severe cold. For the last several days, the effect of icy winds and dense fog is visible in the district.
The speed of vehicles has stopped due to fog. Vehicles are facing more problems in moving at night. Even during the day, vehicles have to move with lights on during fog. In view of the dense fog, cold wave and severe cold, on the instructions of the District Magistrate, BSA has closed the schools of all the boards up to class eight till 26th December.
Basic Education Officer Bhupendra Singh said that 24th and 26th December have been declared holidays, 25th December was already a holiday. He has directed all block education officers to strictly comply with this.
Meanwhile, District School Inspector Omkar Rana has directed to operate schools up to Intermediate from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. He told that schools will run in the same time period till January 14, 2026.
Deshraj Meena, meteorological observer of Sanai Research Center, said that the minimum temperature decreased from 7.6 degrees to 6.8 degrees on Tuesday. The maximum temperature increased from 16.2 to 18 degrees.
