Jagran correspondent, Shamli. When the Inspector stopped two youths during checking and interrogated them, they indulged in indecency and had a scuffle. Now the police is searching for the accused on the basis of CCTV.
On Saturday evening at around 7.30 pm, Inspector Arvind Kumar posted at Adarsh Mandi police station was doing routine checking at Gurudwara Tiraha. During this time he saw two youths coming on foot. On being suspicious, when the Inspector stopped them and started interrogating them and wanted to know the reason for their coming there, the youth started arguing with the police instead of cooperating.
As the dispute escalated, both the youths attacked the inspector. Scuffled with them. Seeing the scuffle with the policeman on the busy road, people also tried to catch the youth, but they ran away. Police station reached the spot and admitted the inspector to the district hospital.
After providing first aid, the inspector returned to the police station and informed the police station incharge Gyanendra Singh about the incident. Police are now scanning the CCTV footage so that the attackers can be identified.
Police Station Head Adarsh Mandi Gyanendra Singh said that an incident of scuffle with the Inspector on duty has come to light. The absconding youth are being searched. A case will be registered against the accused and they will be arrested soon. The police station incharge said that both the youths are said to be from Khayawadi village. A team has been deployed to search for the accused.
