Quality mid-day meal is not being served in 14 schools

According to the inspection report, quality mid-day meals as per the prescribed menu were not being served in 14 schools, raising serious questions on the nutritional standards of the students. In ten schools, a difference was found between the actual student attendance and the data uploaded on the ARM portal.

Apart from this, misuse of school infrastructure funds was found in 13 schools, improper utilization of Samagra Shiksha Grant in 9 schools, and physical non-availability of purchased goods in 9 schools. Additionally, despite the funds available in eight schools, the furnishing and maintenance of school buildings remained unsatisfactory.

In view of these serious shortcomings, CEO Rajouri has directed the concerned 87 masters and teachers to submit written explanations through their respective withdrawal and disbursement officers within two days. It has been clarified that in case of non-response within the prescribed time limit, strict disciplinary action will be taken as per the rules without any additional notice.
