Elephants Occupy The Track In Dhanbad Railway Division, Route Of 9 Trains Including Howrah-Jabalpur Shaktipunj Express Changed

Jagran correspondent, Dhanbad. Elephant Herd Camps on Railway Track: Conflict between elephant and human is a serious problem in Jharkhand. In the last one month alone, more than three dozen people have died in elephant attacks. Meanwhile, late on Monday evening, a strange incident happened in Dhanbad Railway Division of East Central Railway. The elephant herd camped on the railway track. After this, the railway management got frustrated.

Due to elephant herd coming on the railway track, the wheels of trains stopped on Dhanbad to Daltonganj route. Due to the movement of elephants on the down line between Mahuamilan and Nidra of Dhanbad Railway Division, the operation of trains was stopped for a long time. Later, the routes of trains were changed on instructions from the railway administration.

13025 Howrah Bhopal Express, which left via Dhanbad, was first stopped at Barkakana station. Later it was run from Barkakana via Hazaribagh Town, Koderma and Gaya. Similarly, the routes of other trains were also changed.
