It has been said that the Delhi government has a clear resolve to provide respectable working conditions, social security and better employment opportunities to the workers in the capital.
According to the Chief Minister, to increase the participation of women in the employment sector of the capital, they have been allowed to work in night shifts, and it has also been made mandatory for employers to provide safety, transportation and other necessary facilities to women at the workplace. He said that these reforms will not only increase employment opportunities but will also strengthen women's participation and self-reliance. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has said in a statement today that the Delhi government is with the workers. Workers are the backbone of our economy and protecting their interests is not only the responsibility of the government but also a moral obligation. Said that the provisions of the Labor Code have also been effectively implemented while simplifying the labor laws, which focus on 'ease of doing business' as well as social security of workers.
Along with this, women have been allowed to work in night shift, under which they will be able to work from 9 pm to 7 am during summers and from 8 pm to 8 am during winters. However, giving top priority to the safety of women, it has been made mandatory for employers to provide security, transportation and other necessary facilities.
