EOW Arrested The Director Of Chit Fund Company In Varanasi.

This action was taken under the supervision of officials.

Jagran correspondent, Varanasi. The Economic Offenses Investigation Organization (EOW) has arrested the director of a chit fund company on charges of embezzling public invested money.

The accused wanted in the case registered at EOW police station of Varanasi was arrested on 6 January 2026 at night time from village Damodarpur, Sarnath Varanasi. The name of the arrested accused is Rajesh Kumar Yadav, who is a resident of Bhasodi, Police Station Sarnath, Varanasi.

According to the information, in the year 2014, the accused opened the branch of M/s Sai Kunj Infodevelopers India Limited Company in Ghazipur. The directors of the company made themselves the agents of the company, doubled the public money, lured the public with higher interest on the deposited money and invested the public money through misleading publicity. In this process, approximately Rs 8 lakh 36 thousand of 27 investors were embezzled among themselves.

From the evidence collected during the investigation of this case, charges against a total of 8 accused have been found proven. The arrested accused will be produced before the Honorable Court, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Varanasi, where further legal action will be taken.

It is clear from this action of EOW that the government has a strict policy towards economic crimes and strict action will be taken against such criminals. The public should be cautious in investing their money and avoid any kind of temptation.
